MGRID chosen for COMMODITY12 project
Through our sister company Portavita we are from now on involved in the EU FP7 COMMODITY12 project.
The aim of COMMODITY12 is to improve the daily care of diabetes and prevent/manage its co-morbities. It will improve health workers' interpretation of the patient medical status and support coordination of the care. Furthermore, the emergence care process will improved by an early warning system, reducing the hospitalization rate of diabetes patients.
To reach these goals, COMMODITY12 will build an infrastructure for continuous monitoring of diabetes type 1 and 2 patients, focusing on the interaction between diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.
Portavita's role in the project is to (1) produce structured information to an Artificial Intelligence layer from their healthcare chain information system and (2) to ensure that all data storage complies to existing standards on health informatics. The fact that Portavita chose to use MGRID supports this contribution and is an important element in the COMMODITY12 project.
